Hello. I know, I know - it's been a long, long time since I've blogged. To be honest, since July 22nd, 2018. so many things have happened since then, and I want to catch up. After my last blog, my husband, Al and I went to Alaska for three weeks. It was our second time there. We had a wonderful time and saw parts of the state we hadn't seen the first time. I will write about that in a separate blog. One of the exciting things that happened in the past few months was that one
I just came home from RWA (Romance Writers of America) convention in Denver, Colorado. I had a wonderful time, am exhausted, and happy to be home. I met new authors and connected with those I've only know through FB and those I've met before. It was a long, long trip, but a safe one. When I got home, I found out I have five books up for the Raven Awards. Man, was I excited!!! The Trail to Love is in the historical category. I have two in romantic suspense: Missing My Heart an
Yesterday was the start of a Facebook event I'm part of, the Chandler County Scavenger Hunt Hop. Seven authors in the next round of the Chandler County books are part of this event. An accountant by day, stripper by night. A sexy physical therapist. A crazed stalker. Will anyone survive? http://a.co/2knbhIa Even though my newest release, Love With a Side of Crazy surprisingly went live last night, today is the official release day. So, this is the day I'm going to celebrate. Happy Book Birthday to me. This is my second book with Sable Hunter's Hell Yeah! Kindle World. My first book A Photograph of Love, introduced the Phister siblings, Lincoln, Cooper, J
Whenever I enter a contest, I have no illusions of winning. With so many wonderful authors out there, I have trouble believing I'm at the same level as they are. I think most authors feel that way. We have an innate feeling of inadequacy every time we start a book, finish a book, and publish a book. So, I'm always genuinely surprised and excited when I win or even place in a contest. One of the contests was The Critter's Workshop, Preditor and Editor Poll. I didn't actually e
Today is the release day for the fifth book in the Chandler County books. "Missing the Gate," written by Aubree Lane, is filled with intrigue and mystery at Able Manor. It's a must read. Congratulations, Aubree Blurb: After a thirteen-year hiatus, Bella returns home to discover her aunt Lily high-strung and unpredictable, her dad a recovering alcoholic, and her inheritance in ruins. When Bella learns her uncle vanished the same day she and her mother fled from her father’s a
Today I have many things to be thankful for: my husband of nearly forty-five years, my two children and their spouses, my five wonderful, fun grandchildren, a warm home to live in, food to eat, friends to enjoy, and so many more. Today I'm also thankful for my twentieth book release. I find it hard to believe I've written that many books - well, actually I've written more than that, but this is my twentieth published book, with many more to come. "Missing My Heart" is a Chand
We all know how busy November and December can be. This month for me is no different. Besides having hand surgery on Monday, which has slowed down my typing, I'm finishing up work on "The Adventures of Peanut and Casey," the sequel to Uncle Bill's Farm, which came out three years ago. I'll be blogging more about that when the release day comes closer. The surgery has put me a bit behind on "Love With a Side of Crazy, too. I'll have some catching up to do when I can type away
Today starts the release of the second round of the Chandler County books. I'm excited to start it off with Missing Alaska by Cherime MacFarlane. Along with learning about the book, you get to know Cherime to and why she chose her title. Kentucky holds a surprise for a young Native Alaskan man on the run, a young girl with a desperate need to get far from Chandler County. Russell is running from the mess he made in Alaska during Thanksgiving. By allowing his resentment of his
